PB Group Trip Podium - Richmond
/
They went down south to the land of the confederates and big tabacco, they saw the statue of Stonewall Jackson and the Appotomax courthouse and they conquered the rolling hills of Richmond's half and full marathon!
They had to battle unusually cold temperatures for the south: the race started in the 30's!
Despite the moldy showers, threadbare carpet and Amy's insomnia, the girls of PB successfully ran the half marathon. Sherise, Erica and Coach Amy all PR'd thanks to the pre-race dinner and PR Pinot. OK, and maybe a little training went into it. Sherise with a 2:14, Erica a 2:06 and Coach Amy a 1:44.
The boys represented PB in the full marathon. Mo (our Richmond taxi driver who remembers all things historical) met his goal this season: not to cramp! We learned that Pat will never eat an oyster - ever - oh and despite only running one 18 miler for his longest run, still broke 4 hours with a 3:50. Kevin, who always presents with a sunny and positive outlook - even if he doesn't truly believe it - broke 3:30 for the second time and the first time in several years with a 3:28.
