On the drive to the Roadrunners of Kansas City group run this morning I was super grumpy and sad. I was irritated that I lost so much run fitness, that I'm still on a run/walk prescription and sad my friend Allison is moving away. But every Saturday morning my friends somehow find a way to cheer me up and put a smile on my face. Funny, I always attributed the post-run feel-goods to a runner's high, but I'm learning, to a greater extent it is the friendships and camaraderie taken with a small dose of exercise in nature.
